Celebrities who lent their image to Lutgardo Tax Advisors

It is not surprising that a public figure lends his image to a company, political personality or international chain that requests it. Sometimes the agreement - which usually involves financial remuneration - comes out gold, but other times the result can have its consequences, some so serious that there is no money to fix it.

That could be the case of five well-known public figures who lent their image to the accounting firm of Lutgardo Tax Advisors of Lutgardo Acevedo López, who yesterday was accused by federal authorities with three charges of conspiracy and bribery. Acevedo is accused of giving money - among other things - to judge Manuel Acevedo Hernández in exchange for his acquittal of a case for negligent homicide against him.

Throughout his career, Acevedo López has used Puerto Rican personalities to promote the accounting services he offers throughout the Island but concentrated in the western area, where he resides. Among the figures who have collaborated with him are the entertainer Jaileen Cintrón, the former boxer Tito Trinidad, the presenter and producer Carmen Jovet, the journalist Rubén Sánchez and the comedian René Monclova.

In the advertisements - which remain posted on the YouTube network - you can hear phrases such as "we are ready to give you the towel and help you receive the largest refund", "if you qualify for the federal you could receive up to $ 3,000 in 24 hours", "This is the only place that one arrives in Pelao and leaves with kids", "If we have to pay, it will be less". But, the promotion of the firm did not end there, Acevedo López had countless segments on radio and television stations, some of a Christian nature, such as Fuente de Agua Viva and the pastor Wanda Rolón. These segments are also published on your channel of the aforementioned social network.

Some of these figures also appear in images alongside him on his Twitter profile. On the social network you can see photographs with other personalities, such as the statesman Ricky Rosselló and former reggaetonist Héctor “El Father” Delgado.

The reality is that being a spokesperson for a figure or company is like playing the lottery, sometimes you are lucky but at other times things do not go as you expected, the relationist, Helga García, told Primera Hora. “There are figures that prefer not to do direct endorsements to brands precisely to avoid. And in cases like these, where is or could be the problem for that personality is how much credibility it has or not with people. It wouldn't occur to me to think that any of the endorsed figures were remotely related to the actions. I don't think it will affect them, ”said García, president of Perfect Partners.

He emphasized that the economic factor cannot be decisive in deciding whether or not to carry out a campaign, at least it is so in his practice. There are other aspects that must be taken into consideration, such as the brand's trajectory, the proposal, how much the figure benefits from what it is going to present and the image of the company before consumers.

If he were a relationist for some of the mentioned figures, he said, he would send a letter directing to immediately withdraw any direct or indirect relationship with the brand, in this case Lutgardo Tax Advisors.

“It is difficult for you to say whether or not you should have. Endorsements assume that they are always successful situations .... you do it because they pay you and because your image is involved with a brand that adds you and not that it subtracts you, but in situations like these, these involved figures are not responsible and cannot be judged ", Held.
